Remember those endless summers of childhood? Long, lazy days under the jewel-blue sky as you jumped through the sprinkler? Make the most of your grown-up summers by checking some must-do items off your list!
1. Visit the Beach
Spend the day splashing in the water and building sandcastles. Explore the pier and go boat-gawking. Whether you’re looking in Seattle or for harbor insurance San Pedro, you can bet that those expensive docked yachts are heavily, expensively insured — so don’t get too close!
2. Light a Bonfire
So long as there are no burn bans in effect, invite friends over for cold drinks and a hot bonfire. Roast marshmallows for an extra summery touch.
3. Go Camping
Whether you’re a camper or a glamper, take advantage of the warm weather to spend time with Mother Nature. Find a national park nearby and trek your way out there. Don’t forget bug spray and sunscreen.
4. Swim in the Local Watering Hole
Lake, river, stream or anything in between, find your local swimming hole and spend the day outdoors with friends. Bonus points if there’s a rope swing!
It only comes once a year, so enjoy every drop of summer that you can get. Despite how the carol goes, summertime is the most wonderful time of the year.
