This next 2-year period is a critical time for Social Security and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare is asking for your help.  We will continue to work diligently to get the message out that Social Security is NOT OFF THE TABLE according to this administration but we need volunteers to help educate citizens and members of Congress about this message.  In an effort to effectively increase our outreach we are on a very intense mission to recruit Area Representatives. 

An Area Representative is a retired SSA employee who understands the value of the Social Security program and who is able to communicate the importance of maintaining this program to other citizens.

Please help us by letting us know if you are able to volunteer your time and talents to help shape legislation and to get the word out.  Area Representatives meet with their Members of Congress and their staff in the congressional district.  They also write letters and OpEds, staff exhibits and find other opportunities to take action.
